Methods to follow!
There are several typing methods available. Normally when a person types anything without gathering the knowledge on typing, he uses the “Hunt & peak” method. It is not a fast way of typing. Almost every professional typist uses the touch typing method to type. It is the fastest typing method, so it is very important to practice and adopt this method.
How to type?
Placing the right finger over the right key is the main part of touch typing. There are three rows of letters present in a QWERTY keyboard. The middle row (asdfg) is called the home row. It is the base of your fingers. You have to take back your finger after every keystroke. Now look at the picture below, you will find what finger you should use to press a particular key. That’s all, there is nothing more. Now you have to feel the keys. Place your index fingers over “F” and “J” key and feel the elevated plastic that makes these keys unique. Now try to memorize the keyboard layout. I know it’s difficult and almost impossible to completely remember the exact position of a particular key.
